They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop.

Chambers at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move. They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
