The Bears got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Bears did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Reid proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The Orange pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
