The Patriots did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Javon Baker fell into pick 224.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

If JC Latham and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
