Call it larceny. Anthony Hill Jr. sat on the board until the Round 3 slot, and the Chiefs did not need to be asked twice.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Spending an early pick on cornerback with quarterback, running back and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Reaching for Thomas left real value on the table behind him.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
