Nobody had Trey Moore this high, and it is not close. The 49ers reached 51 spots to get him at Round 4, Pick 33. There is no dressing it up: a F.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. With quarterback unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Scott.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
