There is conviction, and then there is this. The Patriots took Jacob Dobbs a full 183 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want.
