The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named running back, a need the 49ers walked right past. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Reaching for Overton left real value on the table behind him. Anderson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
