Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall
A-
ValueB

FutureA+
The Eagles worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-. The Eagles treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick No. 116 on Nadame Tucker a full 47 spots early. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. Getting Allen where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
The veteran additions, Ryan Flournoy chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Bottom line, with Olaivavega Ioane leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
Pick Analysis
Pick33
Rnd2
Olaivavega Ioane
A tidy bit of business in slot 33, where Olaivavega Ioane graded well above the range. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick54
Rnd2
CJ Allen
The board fumbled CJ Allen all the way to the 54th pick, and they scooped it up. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick78
Rnd3
Jaishawn Barham
Jaishawn Barham at the Round 3 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick116
Rnd4
Nadame Tucker
Nadame Tucker at the 116th overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick137
Rnd4
DeMonte Capehart
Quietly one of the better values of the day, DeMonte Capehart at Round 4, Pick 37. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick156
Rnd5
Nate Boerkircher
Nate Boerkircher at pick No. 156 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the tight end. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick178
Rnd5
Jalen Stroman
Nice patience on Jalen Stroman, who had no business lasting to the Round 5 slot. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick221
Rnd7
Tyren Montgomery
Tyren Montgomery slipping to pick 221 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick254
Rnd7
Fa'alili Fa'amoe
A tidy little value on Fa'alili Fa'amoe in slot 254, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
