The board owed the 49ers one, and it paid up: Jake Slaughter, the No. 54 name on the board, sitting there at the 92nd overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Spending an early pick on cornerback with interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.
