Draft Grade — Cowboys

No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Cowboys. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Cowboys left wide receiver untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
On value alone, Love makes the weekend a net positive. Thomas has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
They went 1 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
R Mason Thomas
In the Round 1 slot they get a problem off the edge, reach and all. More want than need.
Pick20
Rnd1
Jeremiyah Love
In slot 20 they get a featured back, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
