Start where it matters. The Patriots took Bo Nix to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want. Getting Walley where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The veteran additions, Kenneth Walker III chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
