The Patriots did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Patriots reached some 27 spots for MarShawn Lloyd, and value like that does not grow back. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Jordan falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
