The Commanders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Colton Hood fell into the Round 7 slot.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Adding Azeez Al-Shaair by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
