A franchise passer in Mendoza headlines a B weekend for the Browns.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Browns spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

The Lew value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
