The Patriots got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the C+.

Somebody took the Patriots to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Rattler value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.
