Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B+
ValueB+ NeedB TradesB- FutureA
The Rams robbed the room for Slaughter. Final grade: B+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Jake Slaughter tumbling to the Rams in No. 93 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Caleb Lomu
In pick 26 they get protection for the quarterback at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick61 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Anthony Hill Jr. at pick No. 61 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick93 Rnd3 Jake Slaughter
Circle this one: Jake Slaughter at Round 3, Pick 29 is a fall that decides a draft. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick126 Rnd4 Genesis Smith
Somehow Genesis Smith was still sitting there in slot 126, and they pounced on premier safety value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick207 Rnd6 Aaron Anderson
They robbed the room for Aaron Anderson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick232 Rnd7 Jeff Caldwell
The board had Jeff Caldwell higher than the 232nd overall pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick251 Rnd7 Andre Fuller
The board fumbled Andre Fuller all the way to the Round 7 slot, and they scooped it up. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick252 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III at the 252nd pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
