A sensible, unshowy class lands the 49ers a B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the 49ers were there to profit. Anthony Hill Jr., the No. 38 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 2 slot.

They are betting Boettcher proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
