Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
Grand theft in the Round 2 slot: the Packers steal Hill Jr. and grade out a B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Packers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

The Hill Jr. pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Jahdae Barron pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick63 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
They robbed the room for Anthony Hill Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick84 Rnd3 Domonique Orange
The board had Domonique Orange higher than pick No. 84, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick122 Rnd4 Will Lee III
Will Lee III at No. 122 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick160 Rnd5 Nate Boerkircher
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Nate Boerkircher in slot 160. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick178 Rnd5 Keagen Trost
A straight-up fair deal on Keagen Trost at pick 178, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick196 Rnd6 Kobe Baynes
They read the board right and Kobe Baynes was the payoff at Round 6, Pick 15. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick201 Rnd6 Eric McAlister
A tidy bit of business in slot 201, where Eric McAlister graded well above the range. It fills a real need, too.
Pick236 Rnd7 TJ Hall
Quietly one of the better values of the day, TJ Hall at Round 7, Pick 20. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick255 Rnd7 Cole Payton
Cole Payton slid further than he should have, and the Round 7 slot is lovely value for the quarterback. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
