After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Call it a C- and check back in two years.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Mustapha at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
