The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They will need Wiley to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

However the rest shakes out, Jones at that price is a win they earned.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
