There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Eagles never got to the one that mattered most. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The Daniels reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 7 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
