They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Caleb Williams is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop.

Cowing at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. McLachlan has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
