Somebody in the 224th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while Christian Jones, the No. 190 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

With edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
