The 49ers bet big and early on Malachi Lawrence, 45 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. The bottom line is a respectable B.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Blake Fisher gives the group a proven body among the projects.
