If confidence were a draft strategy, the Steelers would have aced it. Brett Norfleet at the Round 7 slot is 38 spots clear of where he belonged. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

The Allar value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
