Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall C+
ValueD NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
The jury is out on the Seahawks. For now, C+.

There is reaching, and then there is Caden Curry at the Round 2 slot. The Seahawks jumped the board by 60 and dared it to prove them wrong. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.

However the rest shakes out, Jackson at that price is a win they earned. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

The back end got a real overhaul.

If D'Angelo Ponds and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 D'Angelo Ponds
In No. 32 they get a press-man option on the boundary, though they paid up to get him.
Pick64 Rnd2 Caden Curry
This one needs a full-page explanation: Caden Curry in pick No. 64, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick96 Rnd3 Mikail Kamara
Value said wait; Mikail Kamara in Round 3, Pick 32 says they were not listening. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick188 Rnd6 Domani Jackson
Domani Jackson at slot 188 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
