Nobody else had Montrell Johnson Jr. anywhere near Round 6, Pick 44. The Cowboys did, by 41 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

That Turner pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Their trades came out a wash either way.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
