Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Raiders worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

The Raiders bet big and early on Garrett Dellinger, 71 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Lambert-Smith at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick10 Rnd1 Will Campbell
In pick No. 10 they get a building block for the line at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick37 Rnd2 Shavon Revel Jr.
Shavon Revel Jr. slid further than he should have, and the 37th pick is lovely value for the cornerback. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick41 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
By-the-book stuff, Xavier Watts at Round 2, Pick 9 squarely in line with his ranking. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick68 Rnd3 Jaylin Noel
Jaylin Noel at pick 68 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick74 Rnd3 Carson Schwesinger
Carson Schwesinger in No. 74 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick106 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
Nothing to complain about; Cam Skattebo went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick108 Rnd4 Jalen Milroe
Value with a capital V on Jalen Milroe in pick No. 108, a genuine coup. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick140 Rnd5 Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten at slot 140 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The roster fit checks out.
Pick143 Rnd5 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Dont'e Thornton Jr. in the Round 5 slot, miles early. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick180 Rnd6 Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa at No. 180 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick213 Rnd6 Bilhal Kone
Bilhal Kone in pick 213 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick215 Rnd6 KeAndre Lambert-Smith
They barely believed it either: KeAndre Lambert-Smith still on the board at the 215th overall pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick222 Rnd7 Garrett Dellinger
They left a pile of value on the table to take Garrett Dellinger this early at Round 7, Pick 6. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
