Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall

FutureB
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Cardinals. For all the boxes ticked, the Cardinals skipped the loudest one: quarterback is exactly as bare as it was.
They banked enough surplus on Stukes to cover a lot of smaller sins. They are betting Harris proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Francis Mauigoa
In No. 3 they get a building block for the line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick34
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Dillon Thieneman. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick80
Rnd3
Jacob Rodriguez
Jacob Rodriguez at pick No. 80 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick104
Rnd4
Treydan Stukes
Treydan Stukes slipping to the 104th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick143
Rnd5
Malik Benson
Malik Benson at the 143rd pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick183
Rnd6
Matt Gulbin
They did well to land Matt Gulbin in pick 183, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick211
Rnd6
Zxavian Harris
Zxavian Harris in the Round 6 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick217
Rnd7
Jeremiah Wright
Jeremiah Wright in Round 7, Pick 1 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick253
Rnd7
Trey Zuhn III
A clean, defensible pick in No. 253 with a little surplus value in Trey Zuhn III. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
