The search is over. The Patriots handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. If Rouse pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
