Draft Profile: Bio
De'Zhaun Stribling emerged as a productive receiver at Oklahoma State after transferring from Washington State. The 6'2", 200-pound wideout made an immediate impact for the Cowboys in 2023 before a wrist injury cut his season short. Stribling started his collegiate career strong at Washington State, leading the team in receiving as a sophomore with 51 catches for 602 yards and 5 touchdowns.A native of Kapolei, Hawaii, Stribling was a standout two-sport athlete in high school, excelling in football and basketball. He earned All-State honors as a senior after hauling in 64 receptions for 872 yards and 9 touchdowns. Stribling carried that production to the college level, emerging as Washington State's top target in 2022 before transferring to Oklahoma State.
In his abbreviated 2023 campaign with the Cowboys, Stribling flashed his potential with 14 catches for 198 yards and a touchdown in just four games. He posted 73 yards in the season opener and 65 yards against Arizona State before his season-ending wrist injury. Stribling used the setback as motivation, focusing on strength training during his recovery to come back stronger in 2024.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Dependable hands, showing ability to secure catches consistently in traffic and maintain focus through contact
- Good size at 6'2", 200 lbs, providing a solid catch radius and frame to shield defenders on contested throws
- Versatile route runner with ability to contribute across all areas of the field, particularly effective in intermediate routes
- Demonstrated production at the Power 5 level, leading Washington State in receiving before transfer to Oklahoma State
- Flashes big-play potential, put up multiple games with 60 yards plus receiving in limited 2023 action
- Shows body control and sideline awareness, able to work the boundaries and find soft spots in zone coverage
- Resilient mentality, bouncing back from wrist injury with dedicated strength training and rehabilitation
- Potential to develop into a reliable possession receiver with continued refinement of route-running skills
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Lacks top-end speed to consistently threaten defenses vertically, limiting big-play upside at the next level
- Average explosiveness out of breaks, which may hinder ability to create separation against NFL-caliber defensive backs
- Struggles as a blocker in the run game, needing significant improvement in technique and play strength
- Limited sample size of high-level production against top competition due to injury-shortened 2023 season
- Medical concerns surrounding surgically repaired wrist may impact draft stock and require thorough evaluation
Scouting Report: Summary
Stribling brings a solid toolkit to the table as an outside receiver prospect. His natural hands and catch radius make him a reliable target, particularly in the short to intermediate areas. While he may not blow the doors off defenses with pure speed, his route-running acumen and ability to find soft spots in coverage suggest potential as a chain-mover at the next level.Scheme fit will be crucial for Stribling's NFL success. His skill set aligns well with West Coast or timing-based offenses that emphasize precision routes and sure-handed receivers. Teams running heavy play-action or requiring receivers to win consistently on vertical routes may look elsewhere. Stribling's ability to contribute on special teams could be his ticket to early playing time while he develops his receiving craft.
The medical evaluation of Stribling's wrist will be a significant factor in his draft stock. If cleared, he has the potential to outperform his draft position and develop into a solid WR3 or WR4 in the right system. His combination of size, hands, and route-running provide a foundation to build upon, but he'll need to prove he can consistently separate against NFL-caliber corners to carve out a long-term role on an NFL roster.

For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects.
