Scouting Report: Strengths
- Coordinated when moving to the second level as a run blocker, capable of landing blocks on the move.
- Adequate foot quickness to remain outside. Can get to the second level with surprising agility when adjusting to moving defenders. Underrated athleticism, agility, balance, and even straight-line speed to contribute.
- Shows a good feel for combo blocks, and Burton displays good quickness and flexibility when moving to the second level, capable of sealing the back side on reach blocks
- Dips shoulder and moves his feet to get outside leverage when needed. Strong and low coming out of his stance, effective in short-yardage situations.
- Showed impressive range and the ability to get out and land blocks on the move
- Burton does a nice job working with teammates to build the pocket, anchoring against bull rushers and displaying good awareness against stunts and twists.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Raw as a pass protector, looking choppy and unnatural when moving back into his set, often playing too upright.
- As a pass protector, Burton gets caught reaching and lunging when matched up against quickness.
- Burton doesn’t have ideal coordination between his upper and lower body and is often overeager to land an initial punch, he is prone to playing off-balance and struggling against counter moves.
