Draft Profile: Bio
McKale Boley is the son of Michael Boley, who spent nine seasons as an NFL linebacker and won a Super Bowl. McKale played soccer until his junior year at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, then helped the team to a 13-0 state title season in 2020. He was a three-star recruit.Boley started the 2022 opener at Virginia as a true freshman. He took over at left tackle full time in 2023, making 12 starts. A knee injury in camp cost him the first four games of 2024, and he gave up six sacks after returning. He bounced back in 2025, starting all 14 games, earning ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors in September and All-ACC recognition.
Back as a graduate student in 2026, Boley made the Freaks List and has been the left tackle in every game. He has allowed five pressures in nine games, including two in the loss at Florida State, a day when Virginia's line struggled.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has allowed five pressures in nine games at left tackle
- Experienced starter with more than 40 career starts, most of them at left tackle
- Athletic for his size, a Freaks List pick with a top speed above 19 mph
- Held his own at Florida State, giving up two pressures on a tough day for the line
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Allowed six sacks in 2024 after a knee injury in camp
- Run blocking lacks consistent movement at the point
- His only sack allowed this season came at Wake Forest
- Knee injury cost him four games in 2024
- Average foot speed for a left tackle may push him to the right side
Scouting Report: Summary
Boley is a seasoned left tackle who has been a fixture on the Virginia line for four years. He is athletic for his size, has steady hands and has given up just five pressures this season, holding up even when the line struggled at Florida State. However, he moves few defenders when run blocking, while his foot speed is only average for the left side. His 2024 season, interrupted by a knee injury and marked by six sacks allowed, shows the risk when he is not at full health.
Overall, Boley is a reliable, experienced tackle with an NFL bloodline. He projects as a priority free agent swing tackle who could fit best on the right side.

For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
