The Texans won the night they stopped Mitchell from sliding. Grade: B.

The Texans did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Adonai Mitchell fell into pick 59. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Lee to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
