There is reaching, and then there is David Ugwoegbu at the 250th pick. The Texans jumped the board by 76 and dared it to prove them wrong. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
