Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Eagles: B.

The Joe Milton III pick is the one that will follow the Eagles into the fall. They took him 39 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

The McCormick pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered.

The Tariq Carpenter deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Terrion Arnold
In pick 22 they get an island corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick50 Rnd2 Payton Wilson
Payton Wilson at No. 50 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick53 Rnd2 Kingsley Suamataia
By-the-book stuff, Kingsley Suamataia at pick No. 53 squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick98 Rnd3 Ja'Lynn Polk
The board fumbled Ja'Lynn Polk all the way to slot 98, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick161 Rnd5 Joe Milton III
A big swing on Joe Milton III at the 161st pick, well ahead of any board in the building. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick171 Rnd5 Mason McCormick
They will replay Mason McCormick at the Round 5 slot for years; that is how good the value is. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick195 Rnd6 Jared Wiley
They jumped the gun on Jared Wiley, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick210 Rnd6 Evan Williams
No drama and no debate, Evan Williams went about where he belonged in pick No. 210. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
