Which Quarterback Prospect's Stock Can Rise Most From NFL Combine?

A breakdown of the quarterbacks with the biggest potential to rise up the draft board.

The NFL Combine kicks off today and that means it’s time to overreact to 40-yard dashes and hand size measurements. Every year, there is a player or two that increases their draft stock with what they can put on paper.

This will another crucial data point for teams to evaluate these quarterbacks. It will also be a chance to see some of the prospects in ideal conditions do what they do. With all the pressure on the prospects, let’s dive into who has the most to gain with a good performance.

Quarterbacks with the Most To Gain at the 2022 NFL Combine

Malik Willis (+4000 to be No. 1 Overall Pick)

Willis currently has the second-best odds of the quarterbacks to go No. 1 overall. While he isn’t the tallest at the position, he is a dual-threat player and can impress with the other things. If Willis can have an impressive 40-yard dash time and measure in at a respectable height, general managers would begin to fond over him. We’ve seen the quarterback position shift to a place where mobility is key.

If Willis’ measurables are great, he could jump Pickett as the signal caller to take.

Carson Strong (+10000)

NFL GMs are obsessed with what they think a quarterback should look like. Strong fits that bill. He’s 6’4”, has a big arm and could potentially blow some teams away at the combine. In a class of quarterbacks that nobody is quite sure on, Strong could be the biggest riser once his measurables come out.

Quarterbacks with the Most To Lose at the 2022 NFL Combine

Kenny Pickett (+3000)

While I think it’s stupid to freak out over hand size, some teams might do that at the combine. Right now, all the talk around Pickett is how big his hands are going to be. Unless Pickett has the biggest hands of the group, he will be discussed as having small hands. It may not drop him too far, but it will cause a few teams to pass on him.
