Draft Profile: Bio
Chris Bracy was a two-time ASWA all-state pick at St. Paul's Episcopal in Mobile, Alabama. He held offers from UAB, Kentucky, North Alabama and West Florida as a three-star prospect in the 2023 class.

Bracy began at UAB, making 17 tackles and returning an interception 58 yards in 2023. He made two starts in four games in 2024 before taking an injury redshirt. He transferred to Memphis for 2025, started 11 of 13 games and made 81 tackles, 9.5 of them for loss, and was named the AAC's defensive player of the week on 22 September.

Michigan landed Bracy on 12 January 2026, and he has been a starting safety in his first season there, with another season of eligibility still available after this one. Against Penn State, a 21-18 Michigan win, he intercepted a pass, sacked the quarterback once and forced a fumble, and he made double-digit tackles against Indiana. Defensive coordinator Tyler Stockton has said he has been very impressed with him.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Took the ball away and sacked the quarterback against Penn State
  • Made double-digit tackles in the October game against Indiana
  • Two forced fumbles this season, against Oklahoma and Penn State
  • Strong run defender with 18 stops this season
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Nine missed tackles, including two apiece against Oklahoma and Rutgers
  • Gave up six touchdowns in coverage at Memphis in 2025
  • Allowed a touchdown in the Penn State game
  • Average speed that shows when he plays deep in coverage
  • Has played for three programs in four seasons
Scouting Report: Summary
Bracy has been a physical, productive playmaker in his first season at Michigan. He plays downhill and is around the football, as his interception, sack and forced fumble against Penn State showed.

However, he has missed nine tackles this season and gave up six touchdowns in coverage at Memphis in 2025. His speed is average, which limits him in deep coverage.

Overall, Bracy is a tough, productive box safety with coverage limits. He projects as a priority free agent and could return for one more season.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
