Projects to be the first receiver to hear his name called in the 2021 draft and almost certain to be a top 10 pick. Was the favorite target for Joe Burrow's last year and is capable of being a #1 receiver in the pros. In 2019 Chase set a number of SEC records (including for receiving yards (1,780) and touchdowns (20)). Clearly, LSU was a strong team in 2019 and Chase played on a loaded team with a top-tier college QB and so teams will need to be careful not to get blinded by the numbers.
A muscular, physical player, Chase has quick feet. You can't easily jar him off balance in the first five yards, and you’re going to have a really hard time either matching his feet or getting a bead on what they're telling you.
He has good but not great speed - likely will time in the high 4.4's, but more than makes up great route running and an overall quality technique. He is also built like a running back and can be a nightmare on reverses- similar to the NIner's Deebo Samuel.
At 6' he does not have a perfect size, but despite that is still able to easily come down with contested balls as routine.
He should be a great pro with very few flaws and could quite easily become a pro bowl regular.
