Draft Profile: Bio
Landon Jackson from Pleasant Grove High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Jackson joined Arkansas after being heavily recruited.

In 2022 as a freshman Jackson saw action in 12 games and played a total of 429 snaps for the Razorbacks. He recorded 17 tackles, 3 assists, while adding 14 stops. As a pass rusher, he added 17 total pressures, which included 12 QB hurries, one QB hit, and 4 sacks on the season.

As a sophomore for the Razorbacks in 2023 Jackson played in 12 games and took part in 450 snaps for the Razorbacks. He recorded 30 tackles, 7 assists, while adding 31 stops. As a pass rusher, he chalked up 22 total pressures, and 10 QB hurries, 5 QB hits, and 7 sacks during the year.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • His fluidity and speed allow him to cover a lot of ground when dropping back into zone, and Jackson is capable of turning and running with tight ends.
  • Looks the part. Possesses a long, athletic build with room for additional muscle mass. Flashes a burst off the snap, good enough to cross the face of collegiate tackles and put him in position to make big plays behind the line of scrimmage.
  • He’s explosive off the line of scrimmage, showing the quickness that sets blockers back on their heels.
  • Flexible enough to turn the corner while engaged. Drops into coverage from a three-point stance.
  • A savvy, versatile and instinctive edge rusher who did a little bit of everything, he was especially effective getting to the quarterback.
  • Jackson has the classic frame and long arms with some explosion, power and ability to close.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Raw as sushi and gets by on natural ability with no technique refinement.
  • Plays high and with poor balance and power. He’ll lose ground at the point of attack, and Jackson doesn’t get the full benefit of his length.
  • Jackson also shows some stiffness when trying to bend the edge, often getting pushed past the pocket — he seems more comfortable countering back inside.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
