Draft Profile: Bio
Leroy Jackson made 63 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 13 sacks as a senior at Lee County High School in Leesburg, Georgia, earning all-state honors and MVP of the GACA Junior All-Star Game. He also played baseball and chose North Carolina from 16 offers, including Miami and Georgia Tech. His sister played basketball at Buffalo. An injury limited him to one game in 2024, and he redshirted. Jackson moved into the starting lineup in 2025, playing all 12 games with 11 starts and 37 tackles, and was named a Freshman All-American by The Athletic. He re-signed with North Carolina in January 2026.
Jackson has started every game on the interior in 2026. He sacked the quarterback in the loss at Clemson on 19 September and made five stops against Notre Dame on 3 October, and he has missed only one tackle all season.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Sure tackler who has missed one tackle all season
- Stout against the run, making five stops against Notre Dame
- Starter since his first full season, earning Freshman All-America honors in 2025
- Sacked the quarterback in the game at Clemson
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Pass rush is limited, with 12 pressures in eight games
- Average quickness off the ball limits his ability to penetrate
- An injury kept him out of most of 2024
- Still young, with only one full season of experience before 2026
- As a redshirt sophomore he may well return to North Carolina
Scouting Report: Summary
Jackson is a dependable, physical interior lineman who has started since his first full season. He holds his ground against the run, finishes tackles, with one miss all season, and made five stops against Notre Dame. However, he offers limited pass rush, with 12 pressures in eight games, and his get-off is only average. He is also young, with two seasons of real experience, and he missed most of 2024 with an injury.
Overall, Jackson is a reliable early-down tackle with room to grow. He projects as a priority free agent if he declares, but another year in Chapel Hill would likely help his stock.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
