Draft Profile: Bio
Turner Corcoran from Lawrence Free State High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Corcoran opted to join Nebraska.

In 2020 as a freshman Corcoran saw action in just 3 games and played a total of 106 snaps for the Cornhuskers. He allowed just one QB hurry, no QB hits, and one sack while playing at left tackle.

As a sophomore in 2021 he played in 12 games and a total of 775 snaps. He conceded a disappointing 45 QB hurries, 9 QB hits, and 6 sacks while playing most of his snaps at left tackle.

In 2022 as a junior Corcoran saw action in 12 games and totaled 735 snaps. He gave up a disappointing 33 QB hurries, 7 QB hits, and 4 sacks while playing the majority of his snaps at left tackle, and the rest at left guard.

In 2023 as a senior Corcoran saw action in 7 games and played a total of 410 snaps for the Cornhuskers. He allowed 8 QB hurries, 4 QB hits, and 4 sacks while playing at left tackle.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Hand placement is excellent, and Corcoran shows a good understanding of angles when climbing upfield
  • Corcoran has the size teams look for at the tackle spots, and that is probably enough to get him a look as a swing tackle.
  • Displays good awareness when it comes to reading moving bodies, effectively reacting and adjusting. Corcoran also shows a good feel for combo blocks.
  • Awareness is above-average for his limited experience. Sells trap block and can turn to seal. Fluid getting to and adjust at the second level.
  • Strong enough to control and plant linebackers and safeties attacking gaps.
  • He's infinitely coachable and athletically gifted with the ideal frame, physique, weight distribution, knee bend and hand strength to be molded into a special blocker.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • While he’s solid as an athlete, he’s more comfortable moving forward as a run blocker than setting in pass protection, as Corcoran too often relies solely on his initial punch to stand up pass rushers instead of moving his feet.
  • Can be beat off the edge coming out of his stance lunging to reach speedy wide rushers.
  • Will punch at smaller defenders instead of latching on and is more of a mauler than mover in the running game. Can improve maintaining outside leverage when doubling the nose. Ducks his head and gets too upright, causing him to fall off second-level blocks.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
