Scouting Report: Strengths
- Above-average football smarts and general intelligence. Plays with a nasty streak. Solid character and work ethic.
- Has the agility, technique, and size to contribute early in his professional career. Quick, active hands to latch on to defenders.
- When his hand placement is right, Fano has the strong grip that allows him to manhandle opponents. Fano plays with a mean streak and keeps the nastiness going through the whistle.
- Finds defenders with his hands immediately and gets feet moving to engage and sustain.
- Does a nice job on the second level, moving upfield quickly and showing the flexibility and balance to land blocks in space.
- Awareness is above-average for his limited experience. Sells trap block and can turn to seal. Fluid getting to and adjust at the second level.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Tends to slip off blocks when going against bigger linemen, and Fano too often finishes plays on the ground.
- His hands aren’t violent enough to stand pass rushers up early in the down, and he generally plays with poor balance.
- He’s shaky as a pass protector, which is troublesome for the next level. Fano often plays too high with an inconsistent kick slide.

For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
