Draft Profile: Bio
Tylen Singleton started for four years at Many High School in Louisiana, winning state titles in 2020 and 2022 and taking MVP honors in the 2020 final. He made the all-state team at safety in each of his last two years, rated as a four-star prospect at No. 134 nationally, and he enrolled at LSU early in January 2024.

Singleton redshirted in 2024, appearing in four games. The following season he appeared in all 13 of LSU's games and made 15 tackles. His one start came in the Texas Bowl, where he finished with nine tackles.

Singleton has been a backup linebacker in 2026, playing 55 defensive snaps over four games. He had three tackles in the 35-6 rout of Texas A&M and five more when LSU beat McNeese 63-14, and he has eight tackles with two for loss this season.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Posted nine tackles in his lone start, the 2025 Texas Bowl
  • Former all-state safety who brings range to the linebacker spot
  • Six run stops on just 55 defensive snaps this season
  • Four-year high school starter who won two state titles
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Logged only 55 defensive snaps across his four appearances this season
  • Slight build for a linebacker who must shed blockers
  • Two touchdown catches came against him in coverage in 2025
  • Only one start, the bowl game, across three college seasons
  • Appeared in only four games so far this fall
Scouting Report: Summary
Singleton is a rangy, instinctive linebacker who was a decorated high school player. He flashed his ability with nine tackles in the 2025 Texas Bowl and has made plays against the run in limited snaps this year.

However, he remains a backup, with 55 snaps this season, and his build is slight for the position. The two touchdowns he gave up in coverage in 2025 add to the concern. He has started only once in three college seasons.

Overall, Singleton is a promising young linebacker who is not yet ready. He projects as a priority free agent, though staying at LSU makes more sense.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
