Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Shows good instincts when facing the action in zone coverage, and Baker-Williams has solid ball skills.
  • He’s also very good in zone coverage, showing a great understanding of routes and the ability to close quickly.
  • He’s a technician in press coverage, with a strong punch and the ability to reroute receivers.
  • Has a nice blend of length, speed, and quickness. He’s at his best mirroring routes underneath, showing fluid movement skills and the ability to change directions on a dime.
  • Has a powerful punch at the line of scrimmage and can deliver it while moving his feet. Baker-Williams also has the powerful core and hips to stick to a receiver downfield and escort him to the sideline
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • He’s a little bit tight and straight-line-ish as an athlete, and Baker-Williams struggles when he has to mirror quickness.
  • Despite his size, he’s not an overly physical tackler. Baker-Williams might have to add some weight at the next level in order to become more physical.
  • Struggles to transition and drive out of his backpedal when playing off-man. Like a lot of physical corners at the collegiate level, he’s too handsy downfield at this point.
  • Questionable technique and he gets lazy with fundamentals, sometimes getting high in his backpedal and will breach the coverage call seeking flashy plays

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
