Draft Profile: Bio
Adonijah Green from Cedar Grove High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Green joined Louisville after being heavily recruited. In 2023 as a freshman Green saw action in just 3 games and played a total of 12 snaps for the Cardinals. He recorded only one tackle, no assists, while adding no stops.
As a sophomore for the Cardinals in 2024 Green played in 3 games and took part in 48 snaps for the Cardinals. He recorded only one tackle, one assist, while adding one stop. As a pass rusher, he chalked up 6 total pressures, and 5 QB hurries, one QB hit, and no sacks during the year.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- He’s a capable blitzer with the ability to close quickly. He’s also very good in coverage, rangy with good awareness in zone coverage, and fluid and fast enough to run with most tight ends.
- Offers some versatility, rushing from a two-and three-point stance with the playing speed to stand up in space. Flashes strength as a bull rusher and his energy doesn't plateau.
- Quick off the snap in the pass rush, Green has violent hands and a good feel for working inside counter moves.
- Green has the classic frame and long arms with some explosion, power and ability to close.
- He’s an explosive mover, and he shows body control and flexibility as a pass rusher. He can dip and bend around the corner, and he maintains speed while he does.
- Green has ideal length as an edge rusher, with room to add more weight onto his frame.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Lacks functional strength in the pass rush, struggling to disengage and too easily pushed past the pocket.
- Doesn’t play with a physical edge. Green too often wants to run around the edge, and Green has trouble disengaging when an offensive lineman can get into his frame.
- He’s unlikely to develop into an elite pass-rush option, but Watt can be a quality complementary pass rusher, with a well-rounded skill set that includes solid play against the run.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
