Scouting Report: Strengths
- Hilton tracks the ball well downfield and consistently runs under long throws.
- Combines speed, balance, quickness, vision and crisp cuts to leave defensive backs and linebackers in the dust.
- He’s a precise route runner, creating separation when used on quick outs and stop patterns in college. He has good stop-start ability and lateral agility.
- He has strong hands and is extremely competitive, and Hilton has an innate sense of timing when it comes to elevating and high-pointing balls.
- A slippery runner with elusive footwork. Has little to no wasted movements between the reception and burst upfield.
- Hilton shows suddenness off the line of scrimmage and accelerates quickly, and his top-end speed is among the best in this draft.
- Has elite balance tight-roping the sideline and in-and-out of his breaks, showing excellent start-stop ability and burst.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Does not always use his hands to secure deep throws, allowing the ball into his pads and chest.
- Doesn't have the size to consistently win on the outside, but can be productive working the middle of the field and as a return man.
- Hilton also had problems with drops when coming back to the action. Hilton has some issues against press coverage, sometimes spending too much time hand fighting at the line of scrimmage.
