Corey Collier Jr. from Miami Palmetto High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Collier Jr. opted to join Florida after being heavily recruited.In 2022 as a freshman Collier Jr. saw action in just one game and played a total of 13 snaps at safety for the Gators. He recorded only one tackle, no assists, while adding no stops. In coverage Collier Jr. notched up no pass breakups, no interceptions, and an outstanding QB rating when targetted of .0.
After the end of the season he transferred to Nebraska where as a sophomore for the Cornhuskers in 2023 Collier Jr. played in just 3 games and logged 21 snaps for the Cornhuskers. - He’s also very good in zone coverage, showing a great understanding of routes and the ability to close quickly.
