Draft Profile: Bio
Caedmon "Fox" Crader grew up as a basketball player and only took up football as a freshman at Evergreen High School, and Oregon reportedly offered days after a video of one of his dunks went viral. A consensus four-star prospect in the 2024 class, he was an all-league first-teamer in each of his last two prep seasons and chose the Ducks over offers from Texas, Georgia, LSU and USC.

Crader redshirted in 2024 and played in 10 games in 2025, mostly in reserve. His big moment came against No. 15 USC in November, when he started at left tackle for the injured Isaiah World and did not allow a pressure in 55 snaps. He also logged 41 snaps in the College Football Playoff semifinal against Indiana as part of a Joe Moore Award finalist line.

Crader was expected to take over at left tackle in 2026 but moved to the right side after redshirt freshman Ziyare Addison won the blind-side job in camp. All four of his 2026 starts have come on the right side for a 3-1 Oregon team.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Athletic mover with a basketball background and quick feet in his pass sets
  • Clean in limited 2025 work at left tackle, allowing one pressure in 138 snaps
  • Debut start against USC went smoothly, with no pressures allowed in 55 snaps
  • Run blocking has improved on the right side, with his best work against Portland State
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Protection has slipped on the right side: 13 pressures in four games, seven at Oklahoma State
  • Lost the left tackle job in camp to a redshirt freshman
  • Light for the position at 311 pounds and gets walked back by power rushers
  • Only one start before 2026, leaving him short on game reps
  • Underclassman who would benefit from another year of development in Eugene
Scouting Report: Summary
Crader has the kind of athletic profile Oregon loves to recruit, a former basketball player who took up football in high school and grew into a four-star tackle. His one start in 2025 was a promising glimpse: thrown in against USC at left tackle in November, he kept his quarterback clean for 55 snaps, and he held his own for 41 more in the playoff loss to Indiana. He can uproot defenders as a run blocker once his hands are inside, as Portland State found out.

However, his first year in the lineup every week has been a difficult one. He lost the left tackle job in camp, moved to the right side and has allowed 13 pressures in four games, including a rough day at Oklahoma State where he gave up seven. His anchor and hand placement are still developing, and at 311 pounds he can be walked back by stronger rushers.

Overall, Crader is a talented but unfinished tackle who would benefit from another season in Eugene. If he declares, he projects as a seventh-round flier whose athletic traits could make him a developmental swing tackle, with the practice squad as the likelier landing spot. The tools are there; the reps are not yet.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
