Draft Profile: Bio
Logan Brown, a redshirt junior offensive tackle, transferred to Kansas for his final collegiate season after four years at Wisconsin. The former five-star recruit out of East Kentwood High School in Michigan appeared in 26 games for the Badgers, including three starts in 2022. At Kansas, Brown started all four games he played, anchoring the Jayhawks' offensive line.

Brown's athletic background extends beyond football. In high school, he excelled in track and field, capturing consecutive Division 1 state championships in shot put as a sophomore and junior. He also placed eighth in shot put at the New Balance Nationals as a junior. Brown's multi-sport success showcases his diverse athletic skillset.

Off the field, Brown manages Type 1 diabetes while competing at the highest level of college football. He cites his grandfather as his biggest role model, crediting him for pushing Brown to be the best version of himself. Brown's journey to football began relatively late, as he only started playing during his freshman year of high school at his father's encouragement.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Prototype NFL tackle frame with rare length and ideal weight distribution.
  • Elite athlete who consistently reaches the second level with ease, neutralizing linebackers in space.
  • Exceptional mirror ability in pass protection, nullifying speed rushers off the edge.
  • Devastating initial punch that routinely stones defenders and establishes dominant leverage.
  • Displays outstanding flexibility and knee bend, maintaining leverage throughout reps.
  • Road-grader in the run game who consistently creates movement at the point of attack.
  • Scheme-versatile skill set that excels in both gap and zone blocking concepts.
  • Blue-chip pedigree now matched with high-level production against top competition.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Occasionally oversets against crafty edge rushers, leaving inside vulnerable to counter moves.
  • Can improve consistency in sustaining blocks through the whistle on longer-developing plays.
  • May need continued work on recognizing and picking up stunts and blitzes at the next level.
  • Medical history as a Type 1 diabetic requires diligent management at the professional level.
  • Limited experience in a pro-style offense may necessitate an adjustment period in the NFL.
  • Scouting Report: Summary
Mid-round developmental tackle with plus physical tools. Flashes dominance in run game, needs polish in pass pro. Ideal fit in zone scheme. Ceiling of quality NFL starter, floor of reliable swing tackle. Year one contributor with proper coaching. Medical history requires monitoring.

2024 tape shows improved hand placement and balance. Consistently wins initial engagement. Struggles with counter moves from savvy edge rushers. Powerful drive blocker who can displace defenders at point of attack. Mobility allows for effective pulls and reach blocks. Pass set needs work - occasionally oversets, leaving inside vulnerable.

Scheme versatile but best suited for zone-heavy offense that maximizes athleticism. Could start early at right tackle with potential to develop into left tackle. High-upside prospect who needs time to refine technique. Worth investment for teams with established veteran tackles and patience to develop.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
